NHS Charges from 1 April 2011
New charges introduced from 1st April 2011.
You will pay one of the following charges below, unless exempt from NHS charges:
Band 1:- £17.00
This charge will include an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes x-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
OR
Band 2:- £47.00
This charge includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
OR
Band 3:- £204.00
This charge includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges
AND
Urgent Care:- £17.00
This charge will be for urgent treatment which is prompt care and treatment in circumstances where oral health will deteriorate significantly, or there is severe pain and treatment is provided only to the extent necessary to address those. If necessary will include assessment and advice.
